BUDDHA

Gautama Siddhartha, also known as Buddha (“The Enlightened One”), is the founder of the world’s oldest truly global religion. His teachings shaped the cultures of India, Japan, China and Tibet. Based on Buddha’s pronouncements as handed down over the generations, Volker Zotz sketches out a depiction of the Indian philosopher before the backdrop of the fourth century BCE, and introduces us Buddha’s conceptual world.
