Konrad and Paul are back! In the midst of a May heatwave that has led to a sharp rise, among other things, of testosterone levels, Paul has been sent by his worried mother to check up on his sister. Edeltraut, apparently, has married some bear of a man and is now heavily pregnant. Cooped up in a hot, sticky little flat under the roof, the three slowly find their nerves increasingly on edge. That Paul, predictably, finds the Polish Neanderthal much to his liking is not exactly helping things. The three get caught up in a whirlwind of lust and yearning, and their very own Streetcar Named Desire seems likely to crash off the rails at any moment.
Meanwhile, at home in Cologne, Konrad becomes increasingly fascinated by the introverted charm of Anton, his Romanian piano student. Anton’s aunt invites the two to dinner in an embarrassingly obvious attempt to matchmake them. The otherworldly young Romanian, however, seems more interested in his collection of old liqueur glasses, which form his very own Glass Menagerie.
