SHADOW FLOWER: THE WATCHMEN

New Year’s Eve in Berlin. Luisa and Thursen have gone back to the woods, the place where their love affair first began when Thursen was still a werewolf. Luisa is desperately trying to get over the death of her brother and get back to normal, but her past keeps catching up with her. While everyone else is still celebrating the coming of the new year, the pair stumble upon a brutally mangled corpse. Thursen immediately recognises all the hallmarks of a killing by one of his old pack, and knows they must be responsible. Up to that point the werewolves had lived in the shadows, but now the murder has made their adversaries, the angels, aware of them. Luisa learns the true purpose of the werewolves for the first time: they guard the gateway to the underworld. Suddenly, Luisa sees her chance to descend into the realm of the dead to bring her brother back. But, in order to do so, she will have to enter into a dangerous pact which could jeopardise her love for Thursen for ever...

Nora Melling

Nora Melling was born in 1964 in Hamburg. Even as a young child she loved making up fantasy stories. But before becoming a writer she completed an education in business and moved to Berlin to study. Today she lives with her husband and their four children in Berlin-Zehlendorf and often goes for walks in the Grunewald forest, which is also where the werewolves of her fiction romp about. With the story of Thursen and Luisa she has realised her dream and written her first novel. The Hidden Ones is the start of a series which will delight all fans of romantic and fantasy fiction.
