TANKRED: Crown and Chalice (Vol. III)

Tankred does battle with the Vikings: the sword and the book are his weapons, justice is his aim.

The year is 882: following the siege of the Viking camp at Asselt, Tankred finally demands justice for his mother so that he can secure his inheritance. But he needs the support of the Pope. So it works in his favour when the emperor sends him on a sensitive mission to Rome. The cosmopolitan warrior and his companions set out on their double mission, embarking on a dangerous journey south. But Tankred knows his greatest challenge awaits him on his return: his unscrupulous half-brother Gerold has made a deal with the devil in Maastricht, hoping to dispose of Tankred and get his hands on the inheritance once and for all.
