RIGHT-WING TERROR - THE MURDER OF WALTER LÜBCKE AND THE STRATEGY OF TERROR

  • The first book about the political murder of Walter Lübcke and its roots in the new right-wing extremism.
  • "The murder of Walter Lübcke is more than a terrible assassination. It shows the dangerous fusion of radical right-wing milieus, a potentially lethal dynamic." -            Martín Steinhagen

A stirring report about a danger that threatens us all.

The murder of Walter Lübcke marks a further escalation of right-wing terror in Germany. It cannot be explained as a coincidence nor as an isolated case, but rather illuminates the current dynamics of this terror. Behind it there is a history of radicalisation, which is illustrated by the biographies of the right-wing and their deeds.

Martín Steinhagen tells the story of the victim, the perpetrator and the deed and sheds light on the social climate in which the assassination became possible. He researches archives and files, speaks to those who were close to the victim and follows the trial in Frankfurt. At the same time, he lifts the lid on the strategy, tactics and tradition of right-wing radicals in Germany – and the growing, changing threat from the right.
