A HEART SEEKS A HOME

  • A romantic comedy with depth – by a much-loved German author.

When love begins with a deception. When you are living someone else’s life … then you need courage. And a hell of a lot of luck.

Charly has always wanted to be as confident and brave as her best friend. When Mia asks her to do a few things for her while she is on holiday, Charly, obliging as always, steps in – without knowing what she is signing up for. A few misunderstandings later, she not only finds herself in Mia’s new flat in Starnberg, but also in the middle of Mia’s life. Including a dream job with Bavaria film studios. Charlotte becomes Mia. And although it is just for a short while, it feels amazing. But then she meets Sebastian. He is a stuntman and falls in love with Charly – in her role as life-affirming Mia. But what is going to happen to all the overwhelming feelings if the life is only on loan?

Kristina Moninger was born in Würzburg in 1985 and spent her childhood in a small village in the countryside where she still lives today with her husband and her twins. Following a business traineeship, she completed a degree in translation. But her real passion is writing. The themes of her stories spring from her own emotions. She has published several successful novels and has built up a large fan base. If she is not at her desk, you will likely find her behind a book or out in nature with her family and dog.
