THE BEACH – Betrayed (Vol. II)

  • Full of gripping suspense and set on the highly atmospheric peninsula Fischland-Darß-Zingst.

Lilli Sternberg, the deaf 19-year-old, has been missing for one week, the man who presumably murdered her, dead. The police fear her body is unlikely to be found. But there are some inconsistencies in the case, and Sebastian Engelhardt, the lead investigator on the case, is determined to clear them up. So he resists the pressure to drop the case from his commanding officer, who wants to present the resolved case to the media as an investigative success. But Engelhardt has an ally in cryptologist Mascha Krieger. When the corpse of a young woman in advanced stages of decay washes up in the Sellnitz harbour, analysis of her hair colour and clothes point towards this being Lilli. But her DNA is no match with that of Lilli’s grandparents. Who is this unidentified dead woman? Could she be the second victim of a serial killer?
