INSPECTOR IVA MARKULIN AND THE SHADOWS OVER THE ADRIATIC (VOL. I)

  • The gripping debut of a new atmospheric crime series.
  • With a fresh setting in paradise-like Istria, blending suspense, culture, and cuisine.

Meet Iva Markulin: a fearless prosecutor, single mother, and the Mafia’s worst nightmare.

Iva Markulin, a former prosecutor in Zagreb, quits her job after her husband is killed in an assassination. She moves with her young son Matteo to her grandfather's olive farm, Terra Rossa, in Istria. Surrounded by scenic towns, turquoise beaches, and delicious food, she finds solace in her homeland. But she does not rest for long. Determined to find her husband's killers, Iva forms a special task force. As a well-known "Mafia hunter", she soon encounters powerful figures and uncovers a brotherhood, the "bratstvo", shielding its corrupt members. Despite threats, Iva presses on, seeking justice, not revenge.
