An identity and homeland monologue that revolves around the exclusion of the Other, the foreign. The source of this web of quotations is idealistic philosophy and German-language poetry, which are interpreted as the origins of German nationalism. The collective subject, the Germans, invoke texts by Hölderlin, Hegel, Heidegger, Fichte, Kleist, and excerpts from the letters of the RAF, appropriating and assimilating them for their own purposes. This process inevitably leads to distortions or even reversals of meaning. On one hand, the language thus staged reveals itself, and on the other hand, the ideologization or trivial-mythical reception of the pretexts becomes apparent.
