THE MERCHANT’S CONTRACTS. RECHNITZ (THE CHOKING ANGEL). ON ANIMALS

At an elegant party, two hundred people are murdered on a whim. Unthinkable? Yes. And yet that’s just what happened, as Rechnitz cleverly depicts. On Animals takes up an entirely different sort of topic: love as a double sort of reflection: “A text that is both nasty and tender at the same time” – Neue Zürcher Zeitung

Three new plays by Noble Prize winner Elfriede Jelinek.

Jelinek’s works have been translated into more than 40 languages.
