Since Angela Merkel wrote her biography, she has felt a deep emptiness inside. Looking back on her political career made her think about both her successes and her failures, and the results were more mixed than she expected. Now, much to the dismay of her loved ones, she often feels a bit sad and very irritable. So, her husband Achim and her best friend Marie arranged an appointment for her with Doctor Fenstermacher, the psychologist from Klein-Freundenstadt. At her first meeting, Angela is horrified to find herself in a circle of chairs: group therapy with Werner, an angry citizen, a cheerful animal lover in her mid-fifties, a mime, a young climate activist, and a book hoarder. When someone dies shortly after Angela's first therapy session and she becomes a suspect, she eagerly starts investigating.
