WITCH HUNT - Obalski's Second Case (Vol. II)

  • Bomb threats, murder fantasies, digital hate: In her second case, Obalski tracks down a modern witch hunt.
  • A socio-political crime novel in a class of its own - explosive, highly topical, and gripping until the very last page.

In her second case, Obalski stumbles into a modern witch hunt: A Bavarian state parliament politician receives massive threats. She receives emails containing rape and murder fantasies, and is harassed and insulted on social media. When a bomb threat is received at the state parliament, the woman is placed under protective custody.

Obalski, from the Double-X special unit, goes undercover as a social media consultant within the politician’s team. She is tasked with finding out who is behind the attacks. Soon, the smear campaigns become more personal and simultaneously more dangerous. Do the perpetrators know their victim privately? Or is someone within the politician’s circle leaking inside information?

When a judge is found dead and other women fall into the crosshairs of the hateful mob, Obalski and her team are under immense pressure. What connects these women, apart from their success? And how can investigators stop the perpetrators?
