Clara wakes up from a coma to find that her life has been rubbed out, deleted. She can neither remember her own name nor her husband, the novelist Roland Winter – nor does she know who the intruder is who is supposed to have knocked her unconscious. It doesn’t seem like she has any friends; Roland is her only connection to the past.
