Simone Buchholz , born in Hanau in 1972, moved to Hamburg in 1996 for the weather. She trained as a journalist at the Henri Nannen School. Her novels have received numerous awards, including the German Crime Fiction Prize and the International Dagger Award. Über Söhne  is her first narrative non-fiction book.
