AFTER THREE VERSES, IT'S OVER!

  • The series has sold 3 million copies in total!
  •  Definitely one of the most cheerful Christmas books to be found in the bookshop.

Whether it is Christmas or not, Renate Bergmann always keeps her good glasses polished and her silverware clean. It is best to be prepared for anything, is it not? And the whole year has certainly been eventful. Now, the Advent season is finally approaching, and Renate is looking forward to a cozy time and a particularly lovely celebration with roast goose, watching Sissi, and all the trimmings.

But as always, things do not go as planned. As soon as the first candle on the wreath is lit, everything goes topsy-turvy. There is a power outage, no running water, everyone has to gather in front of Mrs. Maisel's stove – and then Kirsten arrives from Sauerland, traveling with the German railway! As if that was not doomed to fail from the start.

Renate never would have imagined that in the end, the entire apartment community would be sitting in her living room and celebrating Christmas together – even Mrs. Berber is there, along with the nice Alex and his roommates. It is going to be a very special celebration, that is for sure. But Renate can tell you all about it herself. If Renate Bergmann is good at anything, it is telling stories – and this one will be especially beautiful, you can believe us.

"Clever entertainment for all those who can't do with Christmas – but cannot do without it either." WAZ

Renate Bergmann

Renate Bergmann lives in Berlin. She helped clear bombing debris after WWII, worked for the East German state railway, is a household professional and a four-time widow. In 2013, she took to Twitter and began microblogging about her insights and exploits. Her books, meanwhile, have won over the analogue world. Torsten Rohde , born in 1974, studied business administration and worked as a financial controller. His Twitter account @RenateBergmann, in which he tweets about Renate’s exploits, became an internet phenomenon. His book Ich bin nicht süß. ich hab bloß Zucker , published under his pseudonym Renate Bergmann, was a phenomenal success, and was followed by many other successful books and reading tours.
