TANKRED: Eagle and Dagger (Vol. IV)

  • The bestselling saga continues: a relentless battle against Viking raiders, fought for family, duty, and the Crown.
  • A bold warrior-librarian, equally devoted to books, science, and the blade.

Count, warrior, and family man: Can Tankred protect his loved ones from the Vikings and save the emperor's power?

Autumn 884. Tankred, now appointed as a count, lives on his estates near Maastricht. However, the Danes, with the support of Prince Gottfried, repeatedly raid inland and devastate entire areas between the Meuse and the Rhine. When a band of raiders attacks Tankred's property one night and tries to kidnap his children, he suspects the attack was meant for him personally. On a campaign against a Danish army, he learns that Ragnar is behind it, seeking revenge for an old score. Tankred also uncovers a conspiracy against the emperor. The ringleaders, from the highest ranks, have allied with Gottfried to seize power in Lotharingia. Can Tankred save the throne for the emperor and defeat Ragnar once and for all?
