PROUD TO BE SENSITIVE: HOW I LEARNED TO LIVE WITH SPS

People with SPS, or Sensory Processing Sensitivity, are more sensitive to emotional and sensory stimuli, process them more deeply and react to them more strongly than most people, which can result in sensory overloading. Having been diagnosed with SPS, Maria Anna Schwarzberg is on a mission to cast it in a new light. For her, SPS isn’t a disease but a phenomenon documented by scientists which means not only additional problems but also new opportunities to people with this diagnosis. Here, Maria Anna Schwarzberg relates her personal experiences and offers advice on dealing with the challenges and chances of a life with SPS.
