“You weren’t just a star, to me. You were my whole sky.”

Emmeline doesn't have children; in fact, she cannot have children since she was involved in a car accident as a teenager. Therefore, this must be a cruel prank, and it's far from funny. Yet, the young woman is earnest and fully convinced of their connection. When Emmeline's own mother confirms this startling revelation by confessing that Emmeline was pregnant when the accident happened, Emmeline is forced to delve into a past she barely remembers. She discovers that her parents not only hid Victoria from her but also severed ties with her closest friends and her first love, Liam, who appears to be Victoria's biological father. She must now revisit a relationship with a man she hasn’t seen in two decades, yet who still holds a piece of her heart ...
