MURDERNEY: The Grave in the Sand (Vol. II)

  • A touching friendship, a thrilling emotional case, set on the East Frisian island of Norderney.

Spring on Norderney: A murdered homeless man with pockets full of cash.

Locals and tourists eagerly await the Easter bonfire on the beach. But under the wood, a body is discovered: Matthes, the island's only homeless person, has been bludgeoned to death. The police show little interest in the case and have no leads, as despite everyone knowing Matthes, no one knows where he came from or why his coat pockets were full of bundles of money. Tilla Flock, who just quit her job at a local advertising magazine, is determined to find his killer at any cost. Together with her friend Hark Herforth, a priest on a long-term sabbatical, she interviews the island's residents. A crucial clue leads them to the neighboring island of Baltrum.
When an arson attack is carried out on the advertising magazine’s office, Tilla and Hark realize that this case could be more dangerous than they imagined. And soon it becomes clear: Whoever killed Matthes has no qualms about killing again.
