THOUGHTS WORTH HAVING – A Philosophical Guide for Uncertain Times

  • Philosophical guidance for navigating crises, offering practical approaches to everyday challenges.
  • Learning to think with all senses to find stability and happiness in challenging times.

Crises, fears, and worries define our times. With multiple crises and catastrophic forecasts looming, it is hard to know what can still inspire optimism. The result is often confusion, resignation, or even bitter despair. How can we organize our thoughts and develop perspectives, stances, and attitudes to guide us?

Philosopher Ina Schmidt believes the answer lies in learning to think anew. According to her, the key is in what we experience – what we see, feel, and hear. She shows us that we don’t need to despair over the world or attempt to explain every last detail. Instead, we should understand it as a living, interconnected whole. Philosophy provides tools to evaluate and expand our thinking, which can be challenging but also keeps inspiration and hope alive, fosters connections, and expresses solidarity. In the midst of these turbulent times, this approach can even become a source of happiness.
