THE NURSING CRISIS AND HOW TO END IT

Care of the elderly has a bad reputation. It’s associated with harassed staff, poor-quality food and even abuse and violence towards the elderly. Geriatric nurse Sandro Pé is attempting to combat this reputation; for him, working with elderly people is a pleasant and fulfilling experience. It’s the working conditions in the nursing sector which are in a catastrophic state. He uses his book to show us that there is another way of dealing with the situation. He has dedicated himself to ensuring that geriatric nurses are given a voice. Pé already has over 100,000 followers on his Facebook group on the subject of nursing care. He was also named “Carer of the Year” in 2017.
