Liv Helland has always loved the sea, which is why many of the stories she loved to make up as a child took place there. She studied German and English literature and worked as a journalist and translator before discovering book writing. Since she is not only a big fan of the North Sea, but also loves to watch hospital series on television, it was obvious to write about a clinic on a Frisian island.
THE ISLAND HOSPITAL: TURN OF THE TIDE (VOL.II)
The island hospital is shrouded in dark clouds. Mark‘s ex-fiancee is kicking up a fuss and is throwing Greta‘s life into disarray, too. A dramatic helicopter rescue causes a stir. Aside from all this, gynaecologist Dr Helena Folkert is battling to establish a birthing centre on the island. Helena has long since stopped believing in love. That is, until she meets Niklas von Holten.
The former pilot lives as a recluse in an isolated farmhouse on the marshland. He also has feelings for Helena, but he’s keeping something secret from her which could threaten their happiness together. When a storm cuts the island off from the outside world the whole team at the Hansen clinic is called into action...
