WHEN I'M DEAD

After ten years in the captivity of a brutal torturer, 19-year-old Madelin McFarland manages to escape. Her mother Susan, who had given up hope of ever seeing her daughter again, is overjoyed. Only a few hours later, Madelin has again disappeared.

Susan’s husband Stuart is found lying injured in the kitchen and her younger daughter is in a state of shock so deep that she can’t speak. Detective Superintendent Kate Fincher from Edinburgh’s Criminal Investigation Department goes all-out to find Madelin, who has been traced to the Scottish Highlands calling herself Amy. But who is she fleeing from?
