Although breathing feels completely natural to us – after all, we do it 22,000 times a day – breathing in a deliberate, controlled way and becoming sensitive to how air moves through our bodies can help us not only attain a better sense of inner balance but also teach us a great deal about the mechanics of the body and the workings of the soul.

This book explains some simple exercises to help us breathe better, opening up new paths towards well-being, calm and a feeling that our lives are in balance.

Helga Segatz, born in 1960, is a breathing therapist and lives in Munich. She has her own practice and runs workshops on breathing and self-awareness.
